- ELEVEN YEARS AGO in the Chicago Loop, a young woman approached me and asked for a cigarette. I don't smoke. She replied, "Ahh, you look like the right type" and ran off. Great work.
I was at the Botanical Gardens yesterday, when I heard an (adult) raised voice: "Don't smack Mummy!" Note there is no comma. The child had run up and walloped her mother on the backside.
